Hazrat Khuwaja Shaikh Mehmood Rajjan Chishti (رضی اللہ)

Hazrat Khuwaja Shaikh Mehmood Rajjan Chishti (رضی اللہ) was the son of Hazrat Khuwaja Ilm Uddin Chishti (رضی اللہ) and assumed his father's wardship of the Chishti Nizami order after his Wisaal. He was given the title of Naseer Uddin Sani (The second Khuwaja Naseer Uddin) because of his close similarity in appearance, habits and behaviour to the last of the great Five Sufi masters of Chishtiah.

After his discipleship at the hands of his father and other Sufi masters, he was given Khilafat-E-Azam Hazrat Khuwaja Ilm Uddin Chishti (رضی اللہ), as well as receiving khilafat in the Soharwardi order from Hazrat Shaikh Qarin Uddin Soharwardi (رضی اللہ). He was also given the appellation of “Shaikh Rajjan” by his followers.

Hazrat Khuwaja Shaikh Mehmood Rajjan Chishti (رضی اللہ) was closely involved in the administration of the Chishtiah during his khilafat, exhorting his murideen to expand the teachings of the silsilah and propagate Islam. He used to stress the importance of congregational Zikr, whilst de-emphasizing Mehfil-E-Samaa as a tool of spiritual uplift.

Hazrat Khuwaja Shaikh Mehmood Rajjan Chishti (رضی اللہ) returned from this mortal world on the 12th of Safar 900 AH. Your Shrine is located in Ahmadabad, but after five Months at the request of his murideen his still perfectly preserved body was exhumed to be buried next to that of his father's, in Peeran, Pattan.
